


LIMRA EDUCATION AND SOCIAL WELFARE TRUST
1. To work for the advancement of Education, arts, science, maths, social sciences and humanities for minorities, particularly Mulims.
2. To provide improved teaching facilities in Science, Mathematics, Commerce and Arts for minorities, particularly Muslims.
3. To work for the betterment and upliftment for minorities, particularly Muslims through educational guidance, through camps, counseling and information regarding various professional courses.
4. To advance social and general welfare of minority community of the Indian society to ensure the advancement of the nation as a whole.
5. To promote modern scientific education through eastern traditional thoughts among the weaker sections of the Indian society, particularly Muslims with religious and moral education as the educative foundation.
6. To augment, elevate and uplift the socio-economic and educational conditions of women and children.
7. To establish, administer, run and maintain schools, colleges, research institutions, and other educational institutions i.e., technical, engineering, medical, laboratories, libraries, training centres, workshops on industrial and commercial patterns as may be necessary for enlightenment, upliftment and the benefits of minorities in particular and other sections of the society in general in order to promote education and to help the deserving students to enable them to continue their studies.
8. To promote love and harmony among all people of India irrespective of religion, caste and creed.
9. To establish, run and maintain hospitals for the welfare of the people.
10. To promote advanced studies and research in science, technology and contemporary disciplines;
11. To establish, run and conduct hostels, boarding houses and dormitories to provide lodging and other facilities especially to the poor and needy students.
12. To sponsor, run and assist educational institutions imparting instructions.
13. To establish cultural and coaching centres to facilitate the people.
14. To establish, run & maintain book houses / shops, banks, lecture halls and reading rooms.
15. To make up deficiency in students through summer schools, Sunday schools, holiday camps, picnics, adventures, expeditions, extra/co-curricular activities, etc.
16. To launch campaigns for mass awareness in educational, social, economic and cultural lives of people.
17. To organize orientation courses, educational activities, text books and children’s book writers, etc. for teachers and administrative staff.
18. To inform and instruct youth and students in vocational courses and about career opportunities.
19. To organize adult education classes and literacy campaigns.
20. To establish, run and maintain agricultural and handicraft training centres;
21. To provide social service to rehabilitate and assist the handicapped and crippled lot of the society;
22. To organize meetings, seminars, conferences, work shops, etc, & utilize media for dissemination of knowledge and information and inculcation of an enlightened
23. To sponsor cultural, literary and artistic events;
24. To impart training in journalism, public speaking, language proficiency and other skills especially for the benefit of unemployed youth;
25. To grant scholarships or financial assistance to deserving students of science, technology, commerce, business, management, humanities, social science, Islamic studies etc;
26. To give loans to deserving persons to help them settle in life and also to establish education, technical, medical, etc institutions on such terms as the trustees may think expedient;
27. To establish liaison and develop area of co-operation with different organizations-international, national, regional, state, local whether voluntary or official and with specialized institutions, groups and individual associations in furtherance of the aims and objects of the Trust, to take steps for attacking illiteracy and spreading education and hygiene;
28. To establish orphanages, old age homes and rehabilitation, centres;
29. To carry on such further charitable or in consonance with the objects of the Trust;
30. To print, punish, sell and distribute educational news papers, journals, magazines, periodicals, books, pamphlets, circulars, posters and other forms of literature;
31. To send and call delegations;
32. To extend monetary aid to the poor, destitute, sick and disabled persons, orphans widows and people in distress;
33. To establish, maintain, support or contribute or fund providing relief to hospitals, dispensaries, nursing homes, asylums, orphanages, dharmshalas, musafirkhanas and other such charitable institutions;
34. To introduce job oriented courses relating to the needs resources and employment potential of the region;
35. To provide special education to slow learner and handicapped children and their gradual integration in the normal classes;
36. To provide some space in the schools established by the Trust for a day-care-centre of younger siblings of the staffs and working ladies;
37. To establish a national educational fund for weaker section, particularly Muslims to help learners individually to pursue their education in different fields;
38. To acquire and hold property movable / immovable and give or raise loans;
39. To establish small units consisting of doctors, psychiatrists, social workers, councellors to solve physical, emotional and special problems of children;
40. To produce literature like writing of books on prescribed subjects for Muslim educational institutions designed to deepen awareness about Islam amongst Muslim students;
41. To collect funds, accept gifts, donations and subscription in any form for maintenance of the institutions and the furtherance of the objects of the Trust;
42. To do all such acts and things as are necessary and conducive to the said objects;
43. To establish and develop girls schools/colleges at all stages of Education;
44. To impart to Muslim students and trainees an insight into the teaching of Islam and its basic values, and to Non- Muslims, ethical and moral values;
45. To educate the students and trainees the importance of national integration and unity of the country, imbibe the values of composite culture and utilize their energies for building a strong nation;
46. To devise and implement effective literacy programmes;
47. To provide guidance and counseling for Muslim students for carving out prosperous careers, and preparing them for competitive examinations / tests for admission to services and professional courses; &
48. To establish a Board of Education to look after the fulfillment of the aims and objectives of the schools run by the Trust.
49. To pay to the Government or to any public authority, rent, rates, taxes, assessment dues, and any outstanding that may from time to time be levied in respect of the Trust assets or any part thereof;
50. To defray out of the income of the Trust all expenses and other outgoing of an incidental to the creation, maintenance, management and administration of the Trust;
51. To undertake and carry on any lawful trade, profession or business or companies, factories, industries for augmenting the Trust assets;
52. To invest the Trust assets in profitable securities and ventures;
53. To open and maintain account or accounts of the Trust in a Bank for the purpose of keeping the moneys of the Trust and to operate the same;
54. To purchase or hire or acquire or hold or take on lease lands, buildings, properties and other immovable or movable properties in the name of the Trust;
55. To raise or borrow moneys required for the purpose of the Trust on a mortgage or pledge of the Trustees shall think fit;
56. To take over the management of any other public or charitable institutions, project or branch of any such institution on such terms and conditions as the Trust may deem fit and to manage such institutions;
57. To invest the funds of the Trust not immediately required in deposits with banks or with undertaking or any securities authorized under the Income –Tax Act, 1961 or other applicable laws in force from time to time;
58. To create any Reserve Funds, Sinking Fund, Insurance Fund, Provident Fund or any other Special Fund whether for depreciation or repairs, improving, extending or maintaining any of the properties or rights of the Trust and / or for recoupment of wasting assets and / or for benefits of the employees and for others purposes for which the Trust deems it expedient or proper to create or to maintain any such fund or funds;
59. To do all such other lawful acts, deeds or things either along or in conjunction with other organisations, as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of any of the above objects;
60. To provide welfare for employees of the Trust;
61. All activities financed from the fund shall be conducted here in accordance with the ideals and objects as stated here in for the advancement of and mankind, provided that the any donation earmarked and accepted for any specific purpose falling within the objects mentioned in these presents shall be used for such specific purposes;2.
62. To acquire by purchase, exchange, lease or hire or otherwise any lands, building and any estate for the furtherance of all or any of the object of the Trust; &3.
63. To accept upon such terms as the Board of Trustees may think fit any grant or contribution in money, kind or lan or other property impressed with the Trust to carry out the objects referred to clauses A and B thereof PROVIDED THAT the terms upon which such grant, donations, contributions shall be accepted and shall not in any way be inconsistent with or repugnant to the objects of these presents.
THE OBJECTS INCIDENTAL OR ANCILLARY TO THE ATTAINMENT OF THE MAIN OBJECTS.
64. To import, buy, exchange, alter, improve and manipulate all kinds of plant machinery, apparatus, tools, utensils,,substances, materials and things necessary or convenient for carrying on the main objects of the Trust;
65. To send out to foreign countries, its office bearers, employees or any other such person or persons for investigation possibilities of main business or for procuring and buying any machinery or establishing connections or for promoting the interest of the Trust and to pay all expenses incurred in connection;
66. To do all or any of the above things in any part of the world as trustees or otherwise either alone or in conjunction with other and either by or through agents; &
67. To carry on the business of manufacturing chemicals, wholesale and retail druggists, importers, exporters and manufacturers, makers, refiners, processors or formulators of any traders and dealers in pharmaceutical, medical, chemical biological, immunological, therapeutic contraceptive and preparations, substances, materials and articles of all kinds and classes.
